Making a difference to our local community
Our dedication to fundraising knows no bounds – from trekking Macchu Pichu and taking on the Yorkshire Warrior, to walking the Three Peaks and all our many many bake sales in-between!
Our unwavering commitment has seen us raise a staggering £123,000 over the years for various charities. Always looking for more ways to give back, we decided to launch our own Community Interested Company in 2021, which means we are able to give even more support to charitable causes within our local area.
The ACS Social Enterprise enables us to raise and generate funds, that can then be distributed to local community groups and organisations in Bradford & surrounding areas.
Since launching the Social Enterprise in January 2021, our colleagues have raised a remarkable £11,995. This has helped us support numerous good causes within our local community. From one-off donations to continued monthly support, we strive to help those in need locally.
In 2023, the ACS Social Enterprise has partnered with two incredible local charities – The Clothing Bank and Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Throughout the year we will do a number of fund raising activities and events, together with our monthly initiatives to raise money for these great causes:
5p of every order
placed with ACS
Any additional funds from our internal ACS
‘600 club’ (internal lottery)
Any profits from our head office tuck shop
Set up by two volunteers in 2020, The Clothing Bank collect good quality clothing to provide to those who need it.
With already over 93 volunteer drop of points across Yorkshire – their aim is to grow this to a nationwide service. We are sure they will be successful with their goal and hope we can support them along the way.
Offering expert palliative care, Sue Ryder support people with life-limiting conditions.
Combining specialist medical care, with other emotional, practical and spiritual support, they not only care for the patient but their families as well.
