Interior Sales Apprentice (ACS Interiors)

Role overview

The Interiors Sales Apprentice role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing division within ACS—one of the UK’s leading B2B providers of technology, interiors, and consumables.

You will gain hands‑on experience supporting the Interiors team with sales activities, project coordination, and customer design requirements. This apprenticeship combines sales, account management, project management, and creative design, preparing you to progress into roles such as Account Manager or Project Coordinator.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported by a dedicated Training Manager, the Interiors leadership team, and experienced colleagues across ACS who will coach, mentor, and guide you. You will develop the skills needed to understand customer needs, create compelling presentation packs, support design briefs, manage small interiors projects, and help deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Successful completion of the Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship may also lead to progression onto a full Project Management Degree Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote, sell, and secure orders using a relationship‑driven approach.

  • Identify customer needs and upsell/cross‑sell interiors products and services.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to support satisfaction and retention.

  • Research and qualify potential customers to maximise every interaction.

  • Communicate professionally with customers both verbally and in writing.

  • Undertake telephone validation of leads and gather accurate contact information.

  • Assist in creating customer presentation packs and proposal documents.

  • Support the development of customer briefs alongside the Interiors design team.

  • Contribute to layout planning and product selection (post‑training).

  • Liaise with suppliers, installers, and internal teams to support project delivery.

  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, documentation, and updating project trackers.

  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Marketing to support customer projects.

  • Support the conversion of leads into project opportunities and ensure accurate activity tracking across systems.

  • Follow ACS processes and QMS procedures to maintain high standards of service and compliance.

  • Confidently use CRM systems (after training) to manage accounts and workload.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and project details.

  • Assist in preparing quotes, obtaining product specifications, and supporting tender submissions.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Level 3 standard (or equivalent)

  • GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)

  • Computer literate, with the ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Resilient with a positive attitude

  • Confident, friendly, and eager to learn

  • Creative mindset with an interest in interiors or design (desirable)

  • Strong organisational skills
