We recently received the accolade of being named one of the London Stock Exchange's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. How did we land this? There were many factors taken into consideration, but the company needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.
The report shines a light on companies "variously identified as 'gazelles', 'the vital 6%' or 'scale-ups,' which have a remarkably disproportionate impact on UK national economic output. As the CBI recently confirmed, 3,000 scale-up medium-sized businesses contributed £59bn to the UK economy between 2010 and 2013, effectively making the crucial difference between recession and recovery." We join some big, well-known names on the list including Everyman Media, Barker and Stonehouse, Zupla and Go Ape.
ACS will be celebrating their 8th Birthday this year, and when it was formed back in 2008, had the vision to provide a complete office solutions from pens, paper to complete office fits outs and IT solutions.
Compared to some of our competitors, we may seem like the small fish in a big ocean, but this award recognises that this is not the case. We contribute our success to a number of combining factors: personal Account Management for customers, excellent relationships with suppliers such as HP, Xerox (to name a few) which means that ACS delivers competitive pricing combined with superb product knowledge to be able to offer trusted product advice to customers, combined with an intangible company culture where colleagues truly love working with each other and creates a very unique and true family-feel-company.
Furthermore, the customer base of ACS continues to grow with the recent BBC contractual win, which now sees the BBC sit alongside some other well-known names such as Lloyds Pharmacy, AMCO, Celesio and Western Power.
